Palm Beach County Republicans have a new slate of leaders to guide the local party through the 2016 presidential election. As expected, Michael Barnett was elected this week to a two-year term as chairman of the Palm Beach County Republican Party. No one else sought the top spot after the previous chairwoman, Anita Mitchell, decided not to seek another term once Barnett entered the race.
Barnett, 37, a Boca Raton lawyer, becomes the first black county Republican chairman.
