Black GOP activist says Tom Foley's urban strategy was a huge failure...
Throughout Connecticut's hotly contested race for governor, Republican Tom Foley repeatedly pledged to engage black and Latino voters in the state's largest cities.
"As governor, I’ll have no higher priority than making our cities great again.” Foley said at a campaign stop in New Britain in September.
But a group of Republicans has branded the GOP nominee's urban outreach campaign a failure. The group, Connecticut Black Republicans and Conservatives, issued a scathing report Tuesday detailing what it views as the many shortcomings of Foley's effort to connect with urban voters.
