The 2014 race for the position of Governor of Texas is shaping up to be a fierce showdown between Republican shoo-in(?) Greg Abbot and Democrat underdog darling Wendy Davis.
But now there's another lady in the running for Governor: Lisa Fritsch, a conservative African-American Republican who identifies as a Tea Partier and says she feels "called" to run for the governorship. Fritsch announced her candidacy Tuesday in front of that symbol of freedom and justice, Mighty Fine Burgers Fries and Shakes in North Austin.
