Left of Black host Dr. Mark Anthony Neal sits down with Dr. Tasha Philpot to discuss her recent publication, "Conservative But Not Republican: The Paradox of Party Identification and Ideology Among African Americans"

Dr. Philpot is an Associate Professor of Government at the University of Texas at Austin. Her particular interests are in African-American Politics, Political Psychology, Public Opinion and Political Behavior, Political Communication, and Political Parties.

Dr. Neal teaches Black Popular Culture in the Department of African and African-American Studies at Duke University.
