Caroline Hoxby — Charter Schools vs. Public Schools


Harvard economics Professor and Hoover Fellow Caroline Hoxby discusses her research on New York City charter schools in two city neighborhoods, Harlem and the Bronx, and how they compare with other public schools in the same neighborhoods. Caroline M. Hoxby is a distinguished visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution and a member of the Koret Task Force on K-12 Education.

She is the Allie S. Freed Professor of Economics at Harvard University and the director of the Economics of Education Program for the National Bureau of Economic Research. She also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Board for Education Sciences
