I have now spent the better part of two days listening to Black Leftists discuss the rioting in Baltimore. “Some context is needed,” they say, and then begin to passionately discuss the forces of oppression that dog Baltimore’s Black community. According the these intellectuals, what we are witnessing is the result of years of abuse by, among other things, the free market, white consumerism, anti-homosexual, anti – immigration, and anti-feminist teaching, and political disenfranchisement. 

Okay! Though my head is spinning at all of the big words they are using, rather than fuss, I will take them at their word. The Black citizens of Baltimore are engaged in a struggle against political and social oppression. Naturally, my next question is: “Who is doing the oppressing?” If together we can identify the culprit, perhaps, we can devise an effective strategy to alleviate or end the oppression. Let’s take a look.
